Maynardville is a city in and the county seat of Union CountyGR6, Tennessee, United States. It's population was 1,782 at the 2000 U.S. census. It is included in the Knoxville, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area. Maynardville was the birthplace of country singer Roy Acuff.
